Engineered equipment for demanding process environments.
Vacuum systems, heat transfer, mist elimination, expansion joints, and filtration — sized and sourced for refineries, chemical plants, and power generation facilities.
Steam jets, liquid ring vacuum pumps, and condensers
Over 50 years supporting vacuum applications across refining, chemical, and power.
Sample Brothers has supported steam jet ejector and liquid ring vacuum applications since the early days of our business. We bring experience sourcing and delivering systems incorporating equipment from Graham Corporation, Croll-Reynolds, Busch, and Atlas Copco.
Whether you're replacing a single-stage ejector, re-rating a multi-stage system, or evaluating liquid ring vacuum pump options for a new process, we coordinate between your operations team and the right engineering group to get it sized correctly the first time.
Ejectors & Steam Jets
Desuperheaters, thermocompressors, and single/multi-stage ejector systems.
Steam jet ejectors use high-pressure motive steam to entrain and compress gases or vapors at sub-atmospheric pressures. No moving parts, no lubrication, no electricity — reliable vacuum generation for the harshest process environments.
We support new ejector sizing, replacement nozzles, diffuser assemblies, and full system evaluations for refineries, chemical plants, and power facilities running steam-driven vacuum.
Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps
Positive-displacement vacuum for wet, corrosive, and explosive gas service.
Liquid ring vacuum pumps handle gas streams that would destroy other vacuum technologies — wet gases, condensable vapors, corrosive mixtures, and potentially explosive atmospheres. The liquid ring acts as both the compression seal and a continuous coolant, making these pumps inherently safe for process environments.
We work with Busch, Atlas Copco, and other OEMs to source new pumps, replacement components, and packaged systems matched to your process conditions, seal fluid compatibility, and capacity requirements.
Condensers & Packages
Surface condensers, precondensers, intercondensers, and packaged vacuum systems.
Condensers are the critical link between ejector stages and between vacuum systems and the process. Surface condensers, precondensers, and intercondensers remove heat and condensable vapors, improving vacuum efficiency and protecting downstream equipment.
We support condenser sizing and selection for new installations, replacement tube bundles, and complete packaged vacuum systems that integrate ejectors, condensers, and liquid ring pumps into a single coordinated unit.
Packaged systems reduce field assembly, simplify commissioning, and arrive with matched components — one PO, one point of coordination.
Shell & tube, plate & frame, and custom heat exchangers
API Heat Transfer — 140+ years of design and manufacturing heritage.
API Heat Transfer brings over 140 years of engineering heritage and a worldwide manufacturing network of more than 1,600 employees focused entirely on heat transfer performance. Their product range covers virtually every industrial heat exchange requirement — from standard shell and tube units to highly customized configurations for extreme service conditions.
Sample Brothers works directly with API Heat Transfer engineering to support new selections, replacement bundles, re-rates, and field troubleshooting. Whether you need a lube oil cooler sized for a specific turbine, a process heater rated for corrosive service, or a plate and frame unit for tight temperature approaches, we coordinate the technical details so you get the right exchanger for the application.
API Heat Transfer's brand portfolio — Basco, Whitlock, Schmidt, TTP, and Ketema — covers virtually every heat exchange challenge in oil, gas, power, process, and chemical operations.
Koch-Glitsch mist elimination for process vessels and columns
DEMISTER, FLEXICHEVRON, FLEXIFIBER, and VORSOMAX technologies.
Mist eliminators protect downstream equipment, prevent product loss, and ensure emission compliance by removing entrained liquid droplets from gas and vapor streams. Koch-Glitsch offers the broadest range of mist elimination technologies in the industry — each designed for specific efficiency, capacity, and pressure drop requirements.
We help you select the right technology based on your droplet size distribution, gas velocity, liquid loading, and solids content. Whether you need a wire mesh pad for a simple knockout drum or a high-capacity cyclone system for a saturated gas stream, we match the technology to the application.

FLEXIFIBER®
VORSOMAX®
No single mist eliminator works for every application. The right choice depends on droplet size, gas velocity, liquid load, solids, and allowable pressure drop — we walk through each factor with you.
Metal bellows expansion joints and ball joints
Hyspan and American BOA — engineered for the most severe operating and environmental conditions.
Hyspan's engineering team designs and tests metal bellows and ball joints for industrial piping — handling extreme pressures, temperatures, and movement combinations standard piping can't accommodate.
We support new joint sizing, bellows replacement, and system evaluations where piping stress, anchor loads, or cycle count drive reliability issues. Single-ply through pressure-balanced designs — coordinated through Hyspan engineering.
Expansion joint failures are almost always specification failures. We work with Hyspan engineering to verify movement, pressure, temperature, and cycle life before the joint is built.
Fluid filtration — lube oil, fuel, hydraulics, coolant, and process
Hilco's oldest and largest distribution partner. Direct OEM engineering access you won't find elsewhere.
Sample Brothers is Hilco's oldest and largest distribution partner — direct access to Hilco engineering for sizing, media selection, and application troubleshooting beyond a part-number lookup.
Coverage spans lube oil, fuel, hydraulics, coolant, and specialty process across power, refining, chemical, and pipeline. Particulate, coalescing, straining, demineralization, mist elimination, portable filtration, amine, EHC, and water injection — full range.
Wrong filter media costs more than the right filter. We work directly with Hilco and Donaldson engineering to match media type, micron rating, and housing configuration to your specific fluid, contaminant, and flow conditions.
