Hilco's upgrade cartridges use synthetic media — no softening from water exposure, predictable ΔP across the full service interval, and potential 50% reduction in element cost vs. OEM.

If your current elements are running short life, failing at the seals, or showing unpredictable ΔP, we confirm fitment, media grade, and housing compatibility before quoting.

Lube oil, hydraulic, liquid fuel, and water injection

Dirty lube oil shortens bearing life. Contaminated hydraulic fluid causes erratic valve response. Wet fuel fouls combustion nozzles. Right filtration prevents those issues before they become maintenance events.

Electro-hydraulic control fluid filtration

Hilco replacement cartridges for EHC oil systems include Fuller's earth, Selexsorb, and ion-exchange resin media. These remove acids and moisture from phosphate ester and synthetic fluids — preventing servo valve sticking and maintaining low fluid acidity in GE and Siemens steam turbine control systems.

Filter housings and systems

Simplex and duplex housings for gas turbines, steam turbines, and compressors. Duplex systems use a welded transfer valve between vessels — less footprint, one fewer leak path than flanged designs.

Changeovers happen without interrupting flow. Available for fuel gas, lube oil, hydraulic, EHC, liquid fuel, seal oil, and water injection service. Wall-mounted, floor-mounted, and skid configurations depending on the application.

Transfer valves

Hilco's replacement transfer valves are direct drop-ins for most installed valve bodies in the field. Improved designs reduce internal leakage and simplify maintenance — no specialized tooling, no valve body replacement. Low turning torque and positive sealing allow an operator to switch filter banks in seconds with virtually zero process upset.

Transfer valve — assembled unit

Direct replacement for most straight-plug and tapered-plug valve bodies currently in service. Low-torque operation, positive sealing, no valve body modification required.

Plug assembly withdraws cleanly from the valve body for inspection, rebuild, or replacement. Rebuild kits include o-rings, springs, and seat pads. No special tooling required.

Fuel gas, seal gas, and pilot gas filtration

Contaminants in fuel gas erode combustion hardware and shorten hot-section life. Hilco fuel gas filters use layered synthetic media with epoxy-coated support and stainless endcaps — 25+ years in gas turbine service.

Remove what the pipeline delivers

Pipeline gas carries rust, liquids, and fine particulate that foul combustion nozzles and erode fuel valve seats. Hilco's coalescing filter-separator vessels capture solids and coalesce entrained liquids before they reach the combustion section.

Available in simplex and duplex configurations. Duplex systems use Hilco's zero-leak transfer valve for uninterrupted fuel flow during element changeouts.

Last-chance protection

Inline fuel gas strainers

Final protection before the combustion section. Hilco's inline strainers catch debris that may break loose downstream of the main filter — pipe scale, gasket fragments, commissioning debris. If something gets past the primary filter, this is the last barrier before the nozzles.

Also available: pilot gas filter/separators for dedicated ignition circuits where moisture and particulate interfere with reliable flame stability.

Vent mist eliminators and vapor extractors

Oil mist from turbine, compressor, engine, and generator vents creates compliance risk and maintenance cost. Hilco VME coalesces airborne oil back to the sump — eliminates visible emissions, recovers oil, meets RICE NESHAP.

Direct drop-ins for most installed vent mist eliminators in the field, including replacements for Dollinger, Franke, and other OEM units. Used on gas turbines, steam turbines, reciprocating compressors, diesel and gas engines, generators, and pumps.

Coalescing & Conditioning

Oil conditioning and water removal

Water in lube oil accelerates bearing wear, promotes varnish, and degrades additive packages. Hilco's coalescer/separator and vacuum dehydrator systems remove moisture, particulate, and dissolved contaminants — keeping oil within spec and equipment in service.

H-class combined-cycle plants often include Hilco's 02CS-series conditioning skids, achieving water content below 150 ppm with optional ion-exchange elements for varnish removal.

Portable filtration carts

Even new oil delivered to site can arrive contaminated. Hilco's portable filtration carts (HP4 series) are equipped with pump and filter housing to kidney-loop filter lube oil or fuel in drums and tanks. Available with optional water-absorbing or acid-removal cartridges for conditioning oil before it enters the turbine.
