Remove moisture and particulate contamination from turbine lube oils. Hilco coalescer/separator systems protect bearings, extend oil life, and reduce unplanned maintenance across power generation, refinery, chemical, and heavy industrial applications.
In a 2,000-gallon steam turbine reservoir with a 10-GPM Hilco coalescer/separator installed, the system reduced moisture content from 3,174 ppm to natural saturation in 16 hours of operation.
Each stand-alone system includes pump, motor, controls, pre-filter, coalescer/separator vessel, sampling ports, and automatic water drain. Connect to the reservoir and operate.
Flow capacity should be at least 1/2% of total lube oil volume.
| Model | Flow Rate | Max Reservoir |
|---|---|---|
| 02CS10 | 10 GPM | 2,000 Gallons |
| 02CS20 | 20 GPM | 4,000 Gallons |
| 02CS30 | 30 GPM | 6,000 Gallons |
| 02CS60 | 60 GPM | 12,000 Gallons |
| 02CS100 | 100 GPM | 20,000 Gallons |
Options: explosion-proof electrical controls, low-watt-density oil heaters, CRN or PED vessels.
Flow capacities from 1 to 30 GPM. Designed to service multiple oil reservoirs with customized electrical requirements. Integral particulate filter and coalescer filter arrangement.
Flow capacities to 20 GPM. Designed to side-stream part of the existing lube oil pump flow. Available in ASME code and non-code designs, with duplex configurations for uninterrupted flow during element changeout.
Large inventory of replacement coalescer/separator elements available for immediate shipment.
Originally developed for the U.S. Air Force for refueling B-1 bombers. Reduces moisture contamination in jet fuel from 5,000 ppm to under 10 ppm at 71 GPM per cartridge. Similar performance in No. 2 diesel at 36 GPM and ISO VG 32 lube oils at 5 GPM per cartridge.
Hydrophobic screen element installed downstream from the coalescer. Its function is to prevent coalesced water drops from being swept out of the vessel by the fluid's velocity — ensuring complete water separation before oil returns to service.
Steam turbine and gas turbine lube oil reservoirs. Combined-cycle and simple-cycle installations.
Process equipment lube systems, turbo-expanders, and compressor trains.
Hydrogen compressors, wet gas compressors, and reciprocating compressor lube systems.
